E-Gift Card Terms and Conditions

These E-Gift Card Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all Wrangler South Africa e-gift cards ("E-Gift Cards") bought on the Wrangler South Africa online store (the "Website"). The Website and E-Gift Cards are operated and issued by Slam Industries (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2013/146961/07), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sector Group of Companies ("Wrangler South Africa", "we", "us" or "our"). By buying, sending, accepting or using an E-Gift Card, you agree to these Terms, together with our Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy.

1. Purchasing an E-Gift Card

1.1 E-Gift Cards are available in the denominations shown on the Website (currently R500, R1,000, R1,500 and R2,000) and are sold in South African Rand.

1.2 There are no fees to buy, send, receive or use an E-Gift Card.

1.3 E-Gift Cards cannot be bought using another gift card or E-Gift Card.

1.4 Promotional discount codes cannot be applied to the purchase of an E-Gift Card, and E-Gift Cards are excluded from sales and promotions unless the promotion states otherwise.

1.5 We may refuse or cancel an E-Gift Card order where we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised use of a payment method. In that case, any payment received will be refunded to the original payment method.

2. Delivery

2.1 E-Gift Cards are delivered by email only. No physical card is sent.

2.2 You can choose to send the E-Gift Card to yourself or directly to a recipient. If you send it to a recipient, you can add a personal message of up to 200 characters and choose to send it immediately or on a date up to 90 days after purchase.

2.3 You are responsible for entering the correct recipient email address. We are not responsible for an E-Gift Card sent to an incorrect email address entered by you. If you notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible and, if the E-Gift Card has not yet been used, we will try to help.

2.4 Please ask the recipient to check their spam or promotions folder if the email has not arrived. You will receive an order confirmation for your purchase.

2.5 You must not include anything offensive, unlawful or infringing in the personal message. We may decline to send an E-Gift Card containing such a message.

3. Using an E-Gift Card

3.1 E-Gift Cards can only be redeemed online on the Website. They cannot be used in Wrangler stores, at other retailers, or on the websites of other brands in the Sector Group.

3.2 To redeem, enter the E-Gift Card code in the gift card field at checkout. The value of your order will be deducted from the E-Gift Card balance.

3.3 If your order is more than the available balance, you can pay the difference using any other payment method accepted on the Website. If your order is less than the balance, the remaining balance stays on the E-Gift Card for future use until it expires.

3.4 E-Gift Cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards or E-Gift Cards.

3.5 E-Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, topped up, resold, or exchanged for cash or credit, except where required by law.

3.6 You can check your balance at any time by using the "View gift card" link in your E-Gift Card email, or by entering the code at checkout.

4. Validity and expiry

4.1 E-Gift Cards are valid for 3 (three) years from the date of issue, in line with section 63 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. The expiry date is shown in the E-Gift Card email.

4.2 Any balance remaining on the expiry date will be forfeited. We will not extend expired E-Gift Cards, except where required by law.

5. Cancellations, returns and refunds

5.1 A scheduled E-Gift Card that has not yet been delivered may be cancelled by contacting us before the delivery date. Once an E-Gift Card has been delivered, it cannot be cancelled, returned, refunded or exchanged, except where required by law.

5.2 If you return goods paid for wholly or partly with an E-Gift Card, the amount paid with the E-Gift Card will be refunded to the original E-Gift Card or as store credit. This applies even if the E-Gift Card has since expired, in which case we will issue the refund as store credit. Any amount paid by another payment method will be refunded to that method in line with our Returns Policy.

6. Lost, stolen or misused E-Gift Cards

6.1 Treat your E-Gift Card code like cash. Anyone with the code can use it.

6.2 We are not responsible for lost, stolen or deleted E-Gift Card emails or codes, or for any use of an E-Gift Card without your permission, unless this is caused by our negligence.

6.3 Contact us immediately if you believe your E-Gift Card has been lost, stolen or used without your permission. Where we can confirm the purchase and the remaining balance has not been used, we may, at our discretion, deactivate the code and issue a replacement for the remaining balance.

6.4 We may cancel or suspend an E-Gift Card, without refund, if we reasonably believe it was obtained or used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.

7. Personal information

7.1 If you send an E-Gift Card to someone, you confirm that you are allowed to give us their name and email address. We will use the recipient's details only to deliver the E-Gift Card and to give any related support, in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. We will not add the recipient to our marketing lists unless they sign up separately.

8. General

8.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the Website at the time you buy the E-Gift Card applies to that E-Gift Card, except for changes required by law.

8.2 Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or any other applicable law.

8.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
